Dave Limina gives a very thorough history of the development of this instrument and how to play it. After describing the technical part of the organ, he uses music charts of well known Jazz and Blues songs along with some keyboard exercises. On each chart he has a diagram of the drawbar settings used to get the sound which you can hear on the accompanying CD. Dave and his band play two tracks on each tune; one track has the full band and the other a mix-minus where you can play along with just the band.

There are a few good Hammond books out there but this one is the most complete. Drawbar settings, percussion and chorus/vibrato settings, swell pedal and leslie instruction, very thorough. Not only does it take you through a gradual learning process to get the instrument down, you gain some cool licks and stylistic direction along the way.

Yngwie Malmsteen Attack PDF book. Guitar Tabs and standard notation. Attack!! is the fourteenth studio album by guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, released on 15 October 2002 through Steamhammer records. The album is the first to feature singer Doogie White on lead vocals, along with keyboardist Derek Sherinian.

Compared to earlier studio albums, Attack!! has a more consistent feel from song to song, with the vocal numbers just fitting better with the instrumentals. Malmsteen’s guitar playing is as great as ever. This album is quite a bit different from his earlier stuff, more aggressive and euro metal sounding. As for Yngwie – he seems to have much control and command of his sound and playing than he ever had before.

Stetina totally nailed this one! He is obviously a big fan of the Man in Black! His performance of these classic Blackmore tunes is so precise that you could easily mistake some of these outtakes as the original Blackmore performance.

The tabs seem to be very accurate as is the backing tracks on the CD. It’s also cool how the CD is panned. It gives you a lot of options for mixing in your guitar to isolate the playback with your playing.

Pat Thrall Improvising Rock Guitar Volume 1 PDF. Does anyone remember a cool tab instructional book from 1973 called “Improvising Rock Guitar”? Playing good lead style rock guitar isn’t easy to do. Dale Turner Ska Guitar PDF. Electric guitarists have played a critical role in the evolution of several contemporary musical styles, most notably rock, R&B, jazz and blues. These styles have maintained a prominent position in the public ear for decades, particularly in the United States and England. While these forms of modern music were spreading like wildfire in the US and abroad, another musical style – one which was also indebted to contributions made by electric guitarists – was brewing just above the equator in Kingston, Jamaica.
